BATURRADEN (5 June 2020) - Amid the sluggish activity caused by social restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, Harry Hikmat, the Director-General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs paid a visit to the Drugs Information and Education Center (PIE NAPZA) Baturraden.
PIE NAPZA Baturraden is a web-based digital service developed by the Social Rehabilitation Center Satria in Baturraden. It integrates preventive and rehabilitative efforts related to drug abuse. Harry Hikmat firstly went to Kedai KoPIE that is a sub-program of PIE NAPZA Baturraden. It is located right after the Drugs Information and Education Gallery (Garasi NAPZA) area. It functions as an aftercare activity for former beneficiaries.
The following place to visit was the Garasi NAPZA. Here, there is a theatre room that provides visual aids and digital content about drugs. The officers also gave some explanations about the risks of using drugs to visitors.
There was also C4RE (Car for Rehabilitation and Education). It is a customized car that provides information and consultation media and functions as the Mobile Social Service Unit (UPSK). Because of many digital services developed by Social Rehabilitation Center Satria, Harry immediately instructed his staff to integrate all digital content into a one-stop channel.
Afterwards, Harry Hikmat and his staff saw other facilities, namely the kid's zone and replica room. The kid's zone is a playroom for children so their parents can have a counselling session. Meanwhile, the replica room is a type of educational room for various kinds of drugs.
"We have to make an event and invite all social rehabilitation centers. The agenda would be a formulating the PIE model," said Harry.
Harry visited the psychosocial therapy service room afterwards. This room has a psychological test kit providing a simple psychological test for free to visitors who want to know their general psychological health condition. Moreover, this service also facilitates drug abuse victims to undergo outpatient rehabilitation by conducting counselling for both individuals and families on a case-by-case basis accompanied by social workers, psychologists, and nurses on duty.
Harry appreciated Satria Center in Baturraden for presenting programs that were creative, innovative and inspiring. The programs could serve as role models for services to help the Indonesian children exposed to drugs.
