CIBINONG (March 10, 2021) - Director General of Social Rehabilitation Harry Hikmat led the Position Handover procession (Sertijab) for the Head of the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center, Mokhamad O Royani. In his speech, Harry emphasized the Center's commitment to building the ATENSI Creation Center.

In this Sertijab, Harry conveyed the direction of the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini so that the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center would represent the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs.

The representation in question is a function inherent in the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, not only Social Rehabilitation, but also Social Protection and Security, Social Empowerment, Handling of the Poor, Social Counseling Training and Professional Development can also be carried out in the center.

Harry also mandated that the management of the 3.5 hectare Center should be more advanced and beneficial for the beneficiaries. The coverage area throughout Indonesia is also a consideration so that the center continues to optimize social rehabilitation services.

Following up on the direction of the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini to open ATENSI Creation Centers in 41 Social Rehabilitation Centers spread throughout Indonesia, the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center is the next hall that is preparing to build ATENSI Creation Centers after the Pangudi Luhur Training Center Bekasi and the Kartini Disability Center Temanggung.

The construction of the ATENSI Creation Center is an effort to optimize social rehabilitation services. "In Cibinong, it can be started by creating an Automotive of ATENSI Creation Center by producing three-wheeled motorcycles for people with disabilities," said Harry.

The great potential of the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center is automotive skills. The Center needs to create a showroom where the tricycle motorcycles are produced. "Make it as attractive as possible and arranged well so that many people see and are interested in ordering," said Harry.

Harry assigned the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center to produce 50 three-wheeled motorcycles for people with disabilities. This motorbike will facilitate the accessibility of persons with disabilities in their daily activities such as going to work, going to school and others.

Motorcycles are made not only for mobility, but also used by people with disabilities for business. "The vehicle can be used for trade, sales or for cafes," continued Harry.

According to Harry, this will open up job opportunities in the automotive sector. One of them involved the alumni of the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center who had been given automotive training.

Like the ATENSI Creation Center at the Pangudi Luhur Training Center in Bekasi and the Kartini Disability Center Temanggung , the ATENSI Creation Center at the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center will be a medium for promoting the work of beneficiaries.

After leading the Sertijab, Harry visited several rooms at the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center. Starting from the lobby, social worker room, assessment room to skills room.

Equipment in the assessment room such as IQ measuring devices, hand speed, eye acuity tools, back strength and grip strength need to be updated. In addition, the assessment room also needs to be expanded by uniting several rooms so that their use can be maximized.

The skills room which consists of the sewing skills room, graphic design, computer skills, electronics skills room, metalworking skills room and automotive skills room is also the focus of the review.

Harry revealed that these rooms need to be optimized, equipped with modern facilities. One example is the sewing skills room which needs to be equipped with a sewing machine to make jeans and an embroidery machine.

Harry also directed that the Center lobby could be used as a public service room in which it has a public complaint service contact center. This contact center can involve contact center training alumni of the Inten Soeweno Cibinong Vocational Center.

In addition, each room needs to be equipped with a room name to make it easier for beneficiaries and visitors to recognize the room and know the function of the room.

To meet the needs of people with speech-deaf sensory disabilities, Harry also directed that the skills instructors should be accompanied by a sign language interpreter.

This review was also attended by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Affairs Idit Supriadi Priatna, Director of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities Eva Rahmi Kasim, Director of Social Services for the Elderly Andi Hanindito, Director of Child Social Affairs Kanya Eka Santi and Head of the Ciungwanara Bogor Disability Center Siti Sari Rumayanti.
