Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation Promotes Social Rehabilitation Sector Regulation to Central and Regional Governments
BOGOR (November 7, 2019) - Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Idit Supriadi Priatna, gave directions and opened a meeting for the Socialization of Regulations for Social Rehabilitation 2019 at the Salak Heritage Hotel, Bogor.
There are three regulations that were socialized at this meeting, namely Government Regulation Number 29 of 2019 concerning Requirements and Procedures for Appointing Guardians, Government Regulation Number 52 of 2019 concerning Implementation of Social Welfare for Persons with Disabilities and Minister of Social Affairs Number 16 of 2019 concerning National Social Rehabilitation Standards.
Idit conveyed the importance of this meeting to equalize the perceptions of the central and regional governments in the implementation of social rehabilitation to Social Welfare Services Recipients (PPKS). "As a consequence of the issuance of Law Number 23 of 2014, the Regional Government carried out basic social rehabilitation and the Central Government carried out further social rehabilitation for PPKS," said Idit.
However, let us work together and support each other to optimize the implementation of social rehabilitation for PPKS, added Idit.
This activity was carried out for three days on 7-9 November 2019 with 59 representatives from Provincial Social Services / Agencies throughout Indonesia, the Legal Bureau, the Technical Directorate within the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation and the Legal Organization and Public Relations Division of the Social Security Service.
