CISARUA (June 9, 2021) - Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Hartono Laras together with officials from Echelon I, II and III of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs attended a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VIII DPR RI to discuss the Deepening of the Program & Function of RKA K/L and RKP K/L for Fiscal Year 2022 in Cisarua, Bogor, West Java.

In this RDP, the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat, submitted a proposal for an additional indicative ceiling that would be allocated for Disability Aids at the Social Rehabilitation Centers of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. "I hope that Commission VIII DPR RI can support the program within the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs so that it runs well and is beneficial for people with disabilities," explained Harry.

Commission VIII DPR RI supports the proposal for an additional indicative ceiling for the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation for 2022 which will be allocated for disability aids amounting to IDR 200 billion.

The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs hopes that there will be input from Commission VIII DPR RI regarding Deepening the Program & Function of RKA K/L and RKP K/L for Fiscal Year 2022 so that the program at the Ministry of Social Affairs runs well and can be useful for the community.

Deputy Chairperson of Commission VIII DPR RI, Diah Pitaloka, as chairman of the meeting, said that Commission VIII DPR RI could understand the amount of the Indicative Ceiling of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs for the 2022 Fiscal Year which would be allocated for management support and social protection within the Ministry of Social Affairs and supported the proposal for an additional indicative ceiling of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs In 2022, it will be allocated to the Ministry of Social Affairs program.

Commission VIII DPR RI asks the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to respond seriously to the opinions, views of the Leadership and Members of Commission VIII DPR RI by utilizing Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) as distribution partners for the BPNT program, increasing coordination with Regional Governments in order to make it a success, maintaining the sustainability of the Ministry of Social Affairs' programs, encouraging efforts to advance underprivileged communities by reducing stunting rates, paying attention to People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ), homeless or abandoned people and repairing Uninhabitable Houses (RTLH).

This Hearing Meeting was attended by Echelon I, II and III Officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs.
