DWP Kemensos and Pasuruan Social Office Visit Rumah Hebat Disabilitas to Discuss Empowerment
PASURUAN (November 3, 2024) - Dharma Wanita Persatuan (Women's Organization for Civil Servant's Wives) of the Ministry of Social Affairs together with the Pasuruan City Social Office visited the Pasuruan City Rumah Hebat Disabilitas (Great Disability House) and discussed empowerment for the disabled, Sunday morning (11/3/2024). During the visit, the Ministry of Social Affairs provided assistance to Rumah Hebat Disabilitas i.e. basic food packages consisting of rice, eggs, and cooking oil.
Rumah Hebat Disabilitas is a place of empowerment for all types of disabilities in Pasuruan City. Approximately 200 people with disabilities have been rehabilitated here. They already have catering, screen printing, craft, car/motorcycle washing, hair cutting, massage businesses. The plan is for Rumah Hebat Disabilitas to also establish a therapy house.
Regarding the empowerment program, the Ministry of Social Affairs will provide business capital as well as assistance and collaborate with the local government. Certainly, participation in the empowerment program is based on the data of prospective recipients of assistance beforehand.
