JAKARTA (Mei 7, 2021) - The "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center in Bekasi belonging to the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs received a certificate of appreciation from the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini as the Center with the Best New Product Development (ecoprint) at the 1442 H Ramadan Bazaar entitled "Affordable Shopping with the Minister of Social Affairs” which was held by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs in the courtyard of the Ministry of Social Affairs, on 6 -7 May 2021.

The award certificate was handed over by the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini and received directly by the Beneficiary, Pranti accompanied by a functional archivist representing the Head of the Center.

The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini inspired the enthusiasm of the beneficiaries (PM) who participated in opening a Bazaar stand by selling PM's work so that they could appreciate what PM had done. “You must be able to appreciate what you have done. Consider that you can lift up someone and made them useful and dignified, that is extraordinary," said Risma.

Minister of Social Affairs Risma also advised the importance of good product packaging and branding so that PM products can compete in the market.

Since the first day of the Bazaar, the enthusiasm of visitors at the "Budhi Dharma" stand has really attracted the attention of visitors. The Director of Social Rehabilitation for the Elderly, Andi Hanindito, gave encouragement and motivation to the PM when he visited the stand.

"This is an extraordinary breakthrough process, because this will bring our relationship with society closer. I appreciate what "Budhi Dharma" has done. Hopefully it can be implemented by other centers," said Andi.

On the second day, the "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center stand received a visit from the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini accompanied by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation and the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation to see elderly products and provide encouragement to the PM.

When she saw the salted egg product, Risma encouraged Sunitah and Pranti and would give the PM a delicious, salted egg recipe. "Cheer up, I'll give you the recipe (salted eggs) later. I will teach you (how to make salted eggs)," said Risma.

The 2-day bazaar offers handicraft products and typical Ramadan food preparations such as Sumenep fried onions, salted eggs, fish pepes and salted eggs, garang asem, bothok mlanding, cork eggs, ampere cassava, onion and purple sweet potato chips, dry cakes, dry potatoes which was sold out with a turnover for 2 days of IDR3,891,000.

Bazaar activities organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs are an opportunity to promote the work of beneficiaries so that elderly people are able to be creative, innovate and be independent.
