Edi Suharto Expresses Strategic Efforts in Handling WNI M KPO
MAJALENGKA (September 28, 2019) - Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, Edi Suharto accompanied by Director of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Social Deviance (TS) & Victims of Human Trafficking (KPO), Waskito Budi Kusumo said social guidance and business stimulants are strategic efforts in the context of handling Indonesian Citizens Migrant Victims of Human Trafficking (WNI M KPO).
This can create independence through the provision of business stimulant assistance and social guidance to increase knowledge in migrating safely (safe migration) so that it is not deceived by the brokers / job search agents that can result in trafficking victims.
WNI M KPO returned from Malaysia and other countries often experience a risky situation. These situations include lack of information on access to assistance, returning home without results even being in debt, family disharmony, to the risk of being traded again.
"It is necessary to prevent these conditions through a social guidance program for WNI M KPO in Majalengka Regency," said Edi Suharto in his remarks at the Social Guidance for WNI M KPO citizens in Majalengka Regency.
"Progres 5.0 New Platform becomes a new policy in the implementation of social rehabilitation in five clusters. This new foundation is to increase the capability of recipients of services and strengthen their personal responsibilities so that they can return to the community," continued Edi
This activity took place at the Majalengka Islamic Center and was attended by 350 service recipients (WNI M KPO), Mawar Persada LKS management and assistants, as well as the Structural and Functional Officers of the Directorate of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Social Deviance and Victims of Human Trafficking (RSTS & KPO).
