Elderly Trapped by Marunda Flood, Minister of Social Affairs' Wife Helps the Evacuation

An elderly person named Ene Iti (77) in Marunda, Cilincing, North Jakarta was trapped in her house due to the flood that inundated the area. The wife of the Minister of Social Affairs, Grace Batubara, who was conducting a survey in the area, decided to look at Ene Iti's condition.

Given the elderly condition of Ene Iti, Grace Batubara and the local Social Service finally decided to evacuate the grandmother. "I asked the Social Service to continue to monitor, and asked the residents' houses to temporarily accept (accommodate) this mother until things got back well", said Grace Batubara after evacuating the grandmother.
