SIDOARJO (26 April 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Surakarta Center for Disabilities "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" implemented Psychosocial Support Services (LDP) for the families of victims of the sinking of KRI Nanggala-402, Sergeant Edi Wibowo and Sergeant Wawan Hermawan. This activity aims to provide psychological strengthening and moral support to the families of the victims in facing this tragedy.

The LDP BBD team "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" Surakarta, totaling 4 people, first visited Sergeant Edi Wibowo's house, which is located in Tambak Utara Village, Krian District, Sidoarjo Regency. There we met Mrs. Fitri Wahyuningtias as the wife of the victim and two daughters named Alifia Cahya Syafira (Grade 3 Junior High School, age 15 years) and Kinar Azzara Fairuz (Grade 1 Elementary School, age 7 years).

Social workers and psychologists had the opportunity to provide psychological strengthening in the form of traumatic healing to the two-child victims. The first child of the victim, who is already a teenager, looks strong in accepting the departure of his father, who died in the sinking of the KRI Nanggala-402. Alifia said that she wanted to continue her father's struggle and aspires to continue military-based schooling.

Mrs. Fitri and Sergeant Edi Wibowo’s family thanked the Ministry of Social Affairs LDP team for providing support and prayers to her family. The family entrusted the LDP team with the mandate regarding the future education of the two victims' children to get guarantees from the government. The psychologist told the victim's family that the LDP team would coordinate with superiors and related parties regarding Alifia and her sister's educational assistance.

The social worker said "Alifia must remain enthusiastic and not give up on achieving her goals, make her father's struggle an inspiration in Alifia's life"

The second location is in the house of Sergeant Wawan Hermawan, which is located at Luwung Hamlet, RT. 7 RW. 2, Sarirogo Village, Sidoarjo Regency. The team met Cicik Dwiyanti, wife of Sergeant Wawan Hermawan. On this occasion, the team also met with the family and two daughters of Sergeant Wawan Hermawan, named Almira Nafisa (8 years old) and Army Dzakia Aqila Hermanto (6 years old).

Based on the assessment from the team, the first child suffered from Meconical Aspiration Syndrome (MAS) which causes the child to experience several syndromes that inhibit their growth and development. Mrs. Cicik who works as a midwife at the hospital of Arafat Sukodono really understands her child's condition so that the child's condition is quite good in terms of social interaction and the ability to carry out activities independently.

Until now Almira is attending a public school in grade 1 Elementary School and her younger sister, Aqila Kindergarten B. The psychologist told the wife "The family must remain enthusiastic in caring for the two entrusted daughters of Wawan Hermawan, hopefully, these two little angels can pray for their father and can grow up to be strong, pious and successful child," said Ratna as a psychologist.
