MAKASSAR (September 4th 2020) – The spread of Corona Virus has not subsided, various effort are continue conducted by the government to press the virus spread. “Gau Mabaji” Elderly Center in Gowa as The Technical Implementation Unit of Director General of Social Rehabilitation of Ministry of Social Affairs Republic Indonesia cooperates partners to participate to fight the transmission and COVID-19 spread. This time “Gau Mabaji” Elderly Center received a donation from Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Makassar Regional Office, South Sulawesi Province for handling COVID-19 through the BRILian Fight COVID-19.

This activity is carried out as a financial aid for children and the elderly in the orphanage/hall to deal with COVID-19. The “Gau Mabaji”  Elderly Social Rehabilitation Center Gowa was one who received donations for this activity.

This symbolic distribution of donations was carried out at Padivalley Golf Course in Gowa and was attended by Head of Administration and Public Relations Sub-Division of “Gau Mabaji” Elderly Center. “We are happy to accept the donations, and we will use the donations as best as we can for the elderly beneficiaries in hall” said Russiah, Head of The Administration Sub Division.

The donation was symbolic handed over by Bayu Wishnu Buana, Head of BRI’s Human Capital Division. When interviewed by Public Relations team “Gau Mabaji” Elderly Center in Gowa , he said this assistance was specially given to children and elderly to deal with COVID-19.

“This BRILian Fight COVID-19 donation was distributed in 19 BRI regional offices through Indonesia and each regional office distributed total aid Rp.100 Million Rupiah. This assistance hoped to be useful for children the elderly in orphanages and center for fight COVID-19.” Bayu said.

In addition for BRSLU “Gau Mabaji” Gowa, donations in this activity also given to An – Nur Orphanage, Al – Bahri Orphanage, Al – Muallaf Orphanage, and Al – Muhaimin Orphanage Makassar.
