Fighting COVID-19, "Budhi Dharma" Center Gives COVID-19 Vaccination for Beneficiaries
JAKARTA (June 1, 2021) - The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs through the Budhi Dharma Bekasi Elderly Center carried out COVID-19 vaccinations for 10 residential beneficiaries who received services in the center as well as community elderly beneficiaries around the Center environment at Ukrida Hospital Jakarta in collaboration with Ukrida Hospital and KILLCOVID-19 community.
Sukamto (64), head of the elderly community around the hall, expressed his happiness when the elderly members who were his members would take part in vaccination activities by the Budhi Dharma Center in Bekasi. "Alhamdulillah, this activity is eagerly awaited by the ladies here, hopefully this vaccination can provide good immunity from COVID-19 for the elderly.
As is known, the government is currently continuing to boost the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination for vulnerable groups, including the elderly in Indonesia, who are the most vulnerable age group with a quite high mortality rate reaching 49.4% according to data announced by the COVID-19 handling task force.
"Thank you, I appreciate this activity, this is a very good form of education for the community, especially the elderly regarding this vaccine, later outside the elderly we will inform the public that they have been vaccinated and are safe," said the Acting Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Indonesian Ministry of Health Maxi Rein Rondonuwu when opening the activity.
