JAKARTA (November 26, 2024) - In the framework of the 2024 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) 2024, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs together with Satpas Polda Metro Jaya provided free driving licenses (SIM D) for persons with disabilities on November 26, 28, and 29 in West Jakarta. A total of 45 persons with disabilities from Jabodetabek participated in this activity.

This program supports the 2024 HDI theme, "Equal Work," with the hope that driving licenses can help persons with disabilities carry out daily activities and work more easily.

Participants such as Ikhlas (24) felt very helped by this facility, allowing him to drive to his workplace safely. To get SIM D, participants must undergo various health and practical tests, which they successfully pass. Ikhlas urged other persons with disabilities to be enthusiastic in their work.
