JAKARTA (14 June 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Melati Jakarta Center continues the process of providing Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program to Indriana, a 60-year-old woman who was treated at the Kramat Jati POLRI Hospital, East Jakarta with a diagnosis of hypokalemia and hyponatremia since Wednesday (26 /5).

Previously, on Friday (28/5) the Melati Jakarta Center case response team had conducted a needs assessment and provided Psychosocial Support Services (LDP) for Indriana while still being treated at the hospital. Then on Monday (31/5) the handover of ATENSI assistance in the form of adult size diapers and milk was carried out to Indriana.

The team also conveyed to Indriana and her family that after completing the inpatient process at the hospital, Indriana will receive additional assistance in the form of a wheelchair to facilitate Indriana's daily mobility.

The improvement in Indriana's health condition after 2 weeks of undergoing treatment at the Kramat Jati POLRI Hospital, East Jakarta was considered by the hospital to allow Indriana to undergo outpatient treatment.

The head of the “Melati” Center, Romal Uli Jaya Sinaga, today visited Indriana directly at her residence, Jalan Tangki, Cipayung, East Jakarta. Accompanied by social workers who carried out the response to the case against Indriana and also officers from the Development Policy Assistance Network (JPKP), the Head of Melati Center handed over the wheelchair ATENSI program to Indriana.

To Indriana and her family, Romal revealed that wheelchair assistance had been recommended based on the results of a comprehensive assessment of the needs and problems faced by Indriana.

“We would like to thank JPKP for providing information regarding the needs and problems of Mrs. Indriana. Based on this information, we responded quickly and carried out a needs assessment so that the crisis faced by Mrs. Indriana could be resolved," said Romal.

“Mrs. Indriana needs a lot of family support in the process of parenting and social care. Entering old age certainly requires a lot of attention from the people they love. The assistance we provide is a form of our love for the elderly. Hopefully, Indriana's mother's family will also be able to give a lot of love to support the process of recovering her mother's health,” said Romal to Indriana's family.

Indriana looks fresher when visited today. Accompanied by her son, she expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided by Melati Jakarta Center.

"Thank you very much, Sir. I didn't think, even though we didn't know each other, my father actually got a lot of help from me. Thank you again,” said Indriana, touched.
