YOGYAKARTA (August 27, 2020) - The "Gau Mabaji" Elderly Center in Gowa which is one of the Technical Implementation Units (UPT) of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs in the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation implements Human Resource Capacity Building in Hotel Harper Malioboro Yogyakarta.
The activity began with a report on the organization of the event by the Head of the Elderly Center “Gau Mabaji” in Gowa, Syam Wuryani and was opened directly by the Director of Social Rehabilitation for the Elderly, Andi Hanindito.
In his speech, Andi Hanindito said that the Social Rehabilitation Program in the new era must be supported by all groups.
"All parties must participate in implementing the New Era Social Rehabilitation Program in order to achieve optimal social services," said Andi.
In the activity, the main material was delivered by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat, who provided reinforcement to employees related to the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Policy and Program (ATENSI) and the Social Service Center (SERASI) for the Elderly.
The activity which took place from 24 to 27 August has the theme "Welcoming a new era of Social Rehabilitation Programs through ATENSI (Social Rehabilitation Assistance) and SERASI (Social Service Centers) with an Integrated System and Wider Reach".
The head of the "Gau Mabaji" Elderly Center in Gowa, Syam Wuryani, in her report said that the Ministry of Social Affairs is COMING through the Social Rehabilitation program with a new approach through ATENSI.
"The ATENSI program is carried out with a more comprehensive service system with a wider reach, because it involves the stakeholders of Social Welfare Institutions (LKS), Social Organizations, and Families as the main basis of service," said Yani.
This is in line with the direction of the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat that a paradigm shift services social rehabilitation that underline the formation of ATENSI is to realize the social services that are integrated, to reach all citizens, a comprehensive system and standardized, emphasizes the role of family and community, social services at the Institute are temporary, as well as human resources based on professionalism.
"The ATENSI program will focus on family-based ATENSI, Community-based ATENSI, and Residential-based ATENSI," added Harry.
In the activity, the Inspector General, Dadang Iskandar also provided material on the Integration of Integrity Zone Development with the Implementation of ATENSI and SERASI at the Balai and Loka Scope. After that, the activity was closed by giving motivation by a motivator who is an alumnus of Gajah Mada University (UGM), Venny Hidayati.
This activity was attended by 32 participants from the Gowa “Gau Mabaji” Elderly Center. The implementation of the activity still pays attention to the protocol for adapting new habits by wearing personal protective equipment, maintaining a safe distance, and washing hands when entering the room.
