"Handayani" Center Conducts Blood Donation
JAKARTA (May 30, 2022) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through the Handayani Center conducts blood donation activities in
collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of DKI Jakarta Province, to
help victims of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) whose number is increasing.
DHF is one of the health issues in Indonesia that should not be taken
lightly, because the complications of DHF can be quite serious and dangerous,
one of which is a decrease in the number of platelets which can make it
difficult for the blood to clot and make the sufferer lose a lot of blood.
The blood donation activity was held at the Sentra Handayani Building,
Jakarta, attended by 80 participants consisting of State Civil Apparatus (ASN)
employees, PPNPN, students of internship, addiction counselors, Sakti Peksos
Jakarta area, and the general public around the Handayani Center, such as
residents of the Bambu Apus, Jati Waringin and Jati Asih.
Participants are required to re-register, screen medical history, and check
hemoglobin (HB) levels, blood type, and blood pressure, before donating blood.
Head of the Jakarta Handayani Center, Anna Puspasari in her speech
expressed her gratitude for the support and participation of all parties who
have taken part in this blood donation activity. "Hopefully this blood
donor can be done regularly and those who have donated can donate
again", he said.
