JAKARTA (January 4, 2021) - Some time ago, the Indonesian virtual world was shocked by the appearance of a parody of the national anthem Indonesia Raya. The video was criticized by the Indonesian people for visualizing an image of an eagle which is the symbol of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), which was deliberately turned into a chicken. It didn't stop there, as the background of the video there was a red and white flag that was urinated on by two boys on the left and right sides. The visualization was accompanied by the national anthem Indonesia Raya, which had the lyrics changed to inappropriate and insulting lyrics to the country.
The video was uploaded by someone on the Youtube platform with the MY ASEAN channel on December 28, 2020. As the profile picture of the channel, there is an image of the Malaysian flag and the Youtube channel is marked in Malaysia.
In response to the case, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia reported this case to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM). PDRM responded to the report and promised to thoroughly investigate this case. After a few days, after conducting an investigation, PDRM found that it turned out that the video that was circulating in cyberspace was the work of the Indonesian citizen (WNI) itself. The Indonesian National Police immediately traced the information.
On Thursday night, December 31, 2020, it was discovered that the perpetrator of the abuse of the Indonesian national anthem was a teenager who was in grade 9 of a junior high school in the Cianjur area, West Java with the initials "MDF". The Cianjur Police immediately arrested and examined the Investigation Report (BAP). During the BAP process at the Cianjur Police, "MDF" was accompanied by Cianjur Social Worker Serve Unit (Sakti Peksos) .
The next day, this case was immediately transferred by the Cianjur Police to the Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit and all legal proceedings against the "MDF" continued. The entire "MDF" legal process is based on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Act (SPPA) and is in the best interests of the child. Furthermore, after the "MDF" case was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, the assistance was carried out directly by the social workers of the Jakarta "Handayani" Children's Center and the South Jakarta Penitentiary Community Counselor (PK BAPAS).
Today, the further BAP process was carried out again at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. Meanwhile, as the legal process continues, the "MDF" is deposited at the "Handayani" Children's Center in Jakarta and will be given interventions to help change the child's behavior and be given psychosocial therapies according to the needs of the "MDF". In addition, "MDF" will continue to follow the "PJJ" Distance Learning process because the school has not suspended "MDF" as a student.

Furthermore, "Handayani" Children's Center Jakarta will continue to provide assistance and social advocacy for "MDF" so that all rights and obligations of "MDF" as a child can still be obtained even though the legal process is still ongoing. On the next agenda, diversion will be sought for the "MDF" in accordance with the mandate of the SPPA Law.
