BOGOR (January 22, 2021) - This year several regions in Indonesia experienced natural disasters. Bogor Regency is one of them, some time ago (19/01) Bogor was hit by a flash flood in the PTPN VIII Gunung Mas Employee Housing area, precisely in Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua District, Bogor Regency. It is known that the flash flood occurred due to the overflow of the Cimpai river (a tributary of the Ciliwung river).

Responding to this, the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Children's Center "Handayani" conducted a Psychosocial Support Service (LDP) that focused on children. Tasks Executor of the Head of the "Handayani" Center, Sulistya Ariadhi, immediately gave directions and formed an LDP team to immediately go to the disaster point.

"I ask the team to check the condition of the children after the disaster. Assess and apply psychosocial service techniques for children," said Sulis.

Previously, the "Handayani" Children's Center team conducted data collection and assessment in advance to provide assistance to children who were flood victims. The "Handayani" Children's Center team also ensured the psychosocial condition of the children in the emergency situation by providing trauma healing services and several games in group dynamics.

In addition to LDP services, as many as 85 children were also given nutrition and nutrition assistance packages through the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program. The package contains Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), personal hygiene equipment, to nutritious foods to support children's immune enhancement.

"Alhamdulillah, yesterday my son was afraid to go out to play with his friends, now he wants to be invited to play again. Thank you Handayani Center, hopefully in the future we can invite the children to play together again," said one of the children's parents.

The implementation of the LDP is carried out in the refugee camps which are Gunung Mas Agrotourism lodges. There are 21 huts that are used as shelters for residents and children. In one hut contains 3 to 4 families.

The "Handayani" Children's Center also collaborates with the Bogor Regency Social Service to continue to help monitor and continue the LDP carried out by the "Handayani" Children's Center.
