BANGKA BARAT REGENCY (November 14, 2023) – A total of 58 Social Welfare Service for Persons in Need (PPKS) received Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI)  from the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Mulya Jaya Center in Jakarta.

Among the 58 recipients, 51 are people with disabilities and 7 are former drug abuse victims. The assistance, valued at IDR 131,470,000, was distributed across 6 sub-districts in West Bangka Regency.

In a symbolic ceremony at the Muntok Sub-district Hall, Dwi Anna Sofianti from the Mulya Jaya Center handed over the ATENSI assistance to Achmad Nursyandi, Head of the Social Office for Community Empowerment and Villages in West Bangka Regency.

The ATENSI aid included self-care items, necessities, nutrition, clothing, school supplies, sports equipment, wheelchairs, adaptive canes, and support for entrepreneurship development.

“The type of assistance provided was tailored based on field assessments. We hope this aid will be useful and well-utilized by the recipients,” said Dwi Anna Sofianti from the Mulya Jaya Center team.

Acting Head of the Social, Community Empowerment and Village Office of West Bangka Regency, Achmad Nursyandi emphasized that this assistance reflects the government’s support for people with disabilities and former drug users facing economic challenges.

"Stay enthusiastic and continue to excel, especially on Heroes' Day, let's all become heroes from our environment, family,  and community," said Achmad.

One of the beneficiaries (PM) is Azka Ramadhan (14), a deaf-mute and badminton enthusiast, who received sports equipment, school supplies, nutrition, and essentials. He recently won third place at the provincial level in the Bangka Belitung Islands.

Other assistance from Mulya Jaya Center includes bedroom facilities, necessities, and nutrition for Kamzuri, a blind person who is very happy and grateful to the Ministry of Social Affairs for the support.

"I didn’t have a mattress, and now I’ve been given one along with a blanket, so it’s warm at night. I also received an adaptive cane for daily activities,” Kamzuri said.

In addition to symbolic assistance, ATENSI assistance was given directly to the homes of PPKS from November 9 to 12, 2023.
