In Sick Condition, Social Affairs Minister Risma Visits Labib, a Baby with Hydrocephalus

While patting the tiny body of her baby Labib Al Mu'minum (1) to sleep, Yuni Susanti (21) told how happy it was to be visited by Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini.

"I'm glad that the Social Affairs Minister visited Labib, I didn't expect it. It's far, it's difficult, entering a narrow alley too," she said while wiping the tears that were already running down her cheeks.

In this simple house, in Ciasahan Village, Sukamaju Village, Cigudeg District, Bogor Regency, the Minister of Social Affairs came and personally attended to strengthen Labib's parents on Thursday (25/8). Social Affairs Minister Risma visited the tiny baby with hydrocephalus who is familiarly called Labib.

Social Affairs Minister Risma directed the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Galih Pakuan Center in Bogor to intervene and continue to provide assistance during Labib's treatment period. This is done to ensure the fulfillment of Labib's rights to get proper treatment.

During this visit, Social Affairs Minister Risma also handed over aid worth IDR27,692,935 consisting 1 adaptive wheelchair for people with hydrocephalus, as well as assistance for basic needs (groceries, nutrition, fruits), toiletries, baby mattresses, pillows, children's clothes, diapers and children's toys. The Minister of Social Affairs also specifically handed over 3 goats (2 females, 1 male) to Labib's parents as the assistance in strengthening the economy.

On the same occasion, the Ministry of Social Affairs has also collaborated with Kitabisa.com to raise funds for Labib's treatment. The total donation reached IDR44,390,780 from 1,971 donors and was symbolically handed over to Labib's parents. In addition, Risma also offered to their families to stay temporarily at the Ministry of Social Affairs technical implementation unit in Jakarta during Labib's treatment process.
