Insyaf Center Facilitates Infants with Tetralogy of Fallot to Harapan Kita Hospital
LANGSA (JUNE 21, 2022) - MoSA through Insyaf Center Medan responded
quickly to Muhammad Ar Rayyan Maulana, an 8-month-old baby boy, who had a heart
defect since was born in Langsa City. According to a pediatric cardiologist's
diagnosis that the baby had Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF/DORV). The condition of
the baby's heart is not fully formed, the heart has a leak, the right valve is
not developing, and the right atrium has cirrhosis, so PPKS must be referred to
Harapan Kita Hospital in Jakarta.
The Head of Insyaf Center, Iman Imaduddin,
immediately dispatched a team to carry out an assessment and assistance with
what needs were needed by Rayyan's family, in preparation for taking Rayyan to
the Harapan Kita Hospital in Jakarta.
"After the team carried out the assessment, it
was discovered that Rayyan's parents had never been vaccinated against
Covid-19, so we facilitated them to get the Covid-19 vaccine at Langsa Hospital
as a requirement to board the plane. Besides that, we also checked Rayyan with
a pediatrician to ensure his health condition before leaving for Jakarta,” said
Robert Sitorus, the team leader who carried out the case response.
In addition, we coordinated with the Langsa City
Social Office to help facilitate the departure of Rayyan and his parents to
Jakarta. The Head of Social Office reported this case to the Mayor. After
hearing the report, the Mayor gave Rayyan cash assistance worth IDR 20,000,000.
Coordination with the Persodaraan Aceh Serantau
(PAS) organization, DPD Aceh Timur, Insyaf Center team, was carried out to
ensure that DPD PAS in Jakarta participate/facilitate PPKS and their families
when they arrive in Jakarta. Because the family has doubts about going to
Jakarta because they don't have relatives in Jakarta.
