KUTA (September 10th 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through "Mahatmiya" Disability Center Bali participated in an entrepreneurial exhibition organized by Beachwalk Kuta Bali and the Bali Bazar Community in order to welcome the new normal. Advisor of dharma Wanita Association of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Grace Juliari Batubara, was present at the exhibition to monitor the development of Artne Coffee's entrepreneurship has developed.
The inclusion of Artne Coffee in the exhibition is to socialize the entrepreneurship of blind baristas to the public and also to provide the experience of blind baristas with disabilities to deal directly with the community. The blind barista serving at Artne Coffee is a beneficiary of the Bali "Mahatmiya" disability center who is still in service at the center to deal directly with the community.
Previously, baristas had received training by instructors at Hall, ranging from how to roast coffee to serving coffee for customers. The processed coffee is in the form of Arabica and Robusta which obtained directly from coffee farmers in Pupuan-Tabanan and Kintamani areas, Bangli. This collaboration has existed for approximately three years.
Coffee packaging starts from 100 grams, 250 grams, 500 grams to 1 kg. All coffee is packaged in two layers and sealed.
During the exhibition, it seemed that the baristas were not only good at making coffee, but they also good at playing music to enliven the bazaar. The exhibition lasts for 5 days from September 8-12, 2020 and is open to the public.
One of the visitors, Chris Waeny, a resident of Scottish descent who lived in Bali for 10 years, was amazed by the skills shown by the blind barista. "It's a really great thing, they can't see but can make coffee and play music. Amazing!".
