Issues of Empowerment and Sustainability are Minister of Social Affairs Risma's Concern on Kei Besar Island
KEI BESAR (July 25, 2024) - The Ministry of Social Affairs is again holding social services which will be held on Kei Besar Island, Maluku Province.
In this social service entitled National Expedition, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini has paid special attention to the empowerment and sustainability issues of the Ministry of Social Affairs programs provided to the communities.
"I keep thinking about how to empower economic growth and make life prosperous," said the Minister of Social Affairs on Thursday (7/25/2024).
The Minister of Social Affairs also explained that the Ministry of Social Affairs could not carry out this difficult task alone.
"We can't do this alone. After we provide empowerment assistance, we collaborate with universities in the regions, for those in large areas with the Ambon Polytechnic, to assist the communities who have been given the empowerment program," explained Minister of Social Affairs Risma.
The Minister of Social Affairs further said that the Ministry will transfer knowledge in assisting communities who receive empowerment assistance so that the provided empowerment program can be sustainable.
Besides collaborating with universities, the Ministry of Social Affairs will also utilize social companions in the area to carry out evaluation monitoring as material for reports and next steps.
For information, the Ministry of Social Affairs brought 16.5 tons of aid to the National Expedition mission in Kei Besar. Distribution of aid using KRI Teluk Weda-526.
