"Kahuripan" Center Prepares as an Agrotourism Nuance

SUKABUMI (18 July 2021) – Social Rehabilitation Center “Kahuripan” in Sukabumi welcomed the visit of the Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Harry Hikmat. This visit aims to review the readiness of Kahuripan Agrotourism.

Kahuripan Sukabumi is one of the Technical Implementation Units (UPT) belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs which now provides services not only to people living with HIV, but also to children, the elderly, victims of drug abuse as well as persons with social deviance issues and victims of trafficking in persons.

Harry visited agro-tourism sites ranging from fish ponds to chicken farms. Then visit the vocational room and other local infrastructure facilities. This review is to ensure the improvement of service quality to the beneficiaries. Agrotourism can be a therapeutic medium as well as hone skills in entrepreneurship.

Harry directs to maximize existing resources by doing reforestation in hot places, maximizing land for attractive jogging tracks equipped with gardens and playgrounds, equipping ponds with various ornamental fish and other fish seeds.
