KSB Changes The Pattern of Disaster Management

Realizing the huge potential for disasters in Luwu Utara Regency, the Ministry of Social Affairs decided to establish a Disaster Preparedness Area (KSB) in this area. The training took place since September 19, 2020, and ended with the declaration of the KSB on September 21, 2020, located in Kamiri Field, Masamba, Luwu Utara.

The event was attended by the Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims, M. Safii Nasution, the Regent of Luwu Utara, Indah Putri Indriani, and a member of Commission VIII DPR RI, Muhammad. In his speech, the Regent of Luwu Utara said that the KSB Program changed the pattern of disaster management, where people previously depended on the government, but now people are able to stand up, even at the forefront of disaster management, especially in their own areas of residence.
