JAKARTA (January 10, 2020) -
The Ministry of Social Affairs established a disaster relief base post at the
Cawang Kencana Building, East Jakarta, to anticipate the possibility of a
continuing disaster.

Juliari P Batubara said the establishment of the holding post was based on BMKG
predictions that predicted high rainfall would continue until next month.
"We form this post until
recovery period. This post provides information openly for elements of society,
the private sector, and NGOs who want to send aid to affected areas," the
Minister said on Friday (10/1)
In addition to Logistics
within the Command Post there are psychosocial support services for disaster
victims. One of them through social counselors (Pensos) and a car with a blue
ornament that reads 'Antigalau Car', was also present in providing services to
disaster victims.
Previously the social
educator with 'Antigalau Car' was also present since the beginning of the flood
disaster that focused on psychosocial support services.
"We are here at this
post in order to provide psychosocial support, we conduct counseling
counseling. Especially accompanying children and vulnerable groups by playing
and singing together to recover their trauma," said Hasim, Head of Social
Counseling Center
He said the gripping
disaster situation certainly left scars of trauma in the hearts and minds of
many people. it is important for children and vulnerable groups to get trauma
recovery services.
The establishment of a
logistical aid post is one of the steps the Ministry of Social Affairs
anticipates that the impact of the flood and landslides may still occur.
Present to accompany the Social Minister, Director General of Social Protection and Security
(Linjamsos), Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims
(PSKBA), Secretary of the Social Research and Counseling Education Agency
(BP3S), Head of Social Counseling Center and echelon II officials at other
Ministry of Social Affairs.
