BANDUNG (19 May 2021) -
The specific work visit of Commission VIII of the House of
Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia monitors the development of Human
Resources for Social Welfare under the Education, Research, and Social
Counseling Board (BP3S) of Ministry of Social Affairs.
On this
occasion, the team chaired by Ace Hasan Syadzily visited the Bandung
Social Welfare Polytechnic (Poltekesos) on Wednesday (19/5/21)
Ace Hasan said
that this visit felt very special because it was attended by 3 (three) leaders
and as many as 16 members of the team.
"This
visit is special because it was attended by three leaders and 16 members, of
course, because this Social Welfare issue is our focus in Commission VIII,"
Ace said.
In this Visit there are three focuses of discussion delivered by Commission VIII. First,
according to group chairman Ace Hasan, Commission VIII has a serious concern
for the development of social human resources.
Almost in many
parts of our functions, such as supervision, budgeting, and legislation, we
prioritize handling social problems.
Ace further
added that in terms of legislation, they are currently drafting or revising the
elderly welfare law. According to him, the existence of the Poltekesos is
important to provide input.
Then the
second, Commission VIII wants to know the process of improving the Kessos HR in
terms of social welfare.
Law number 14
of 2019 on social workers becomes the legal umbrella and of course, it must be
in line with the increasing capacity of our human resources.
Commission VIII
hopes that in the future Social Worker can really be educated and must have
high competence to become professional social workers.
The third final
discussion is about the plan to build the Bandung Poltekesos II campus and the
pattern of the Bandung Poltekesos student nursery.
