LRSLU "Minaula" Holds Human Resources Capacity Building

YOGYAKARTA (9 September 2019) - In order to welcome and succeed the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program (ATENSI) and Social Service Centers (SERASI), LRSLU Minaula Kendari as the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs held a Human Resources Capacity Building at Crystal Lotus Hotel Yogyakarta, 8-11 September 2020.

Head of LRSLU Minaula Kendari, Syamsuddin Ph.D in his report said that he and all staff were ready to support social rehabilitation policies for the elderly with a new approach through ATENSI.

With the theme of Tough and Professional Human Resources, the activity which was attended by 30 employees, both structural and functional, invited the Director General of Social Rehabilitation and the Director of Elderly Social Rehabilitation, as well as resource persons from academia.

Virtually, the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Dr. Ir. R. Harry Hikmat, M.Si as the main speaker gave reinforcement to all participants regarding Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) and Social Service Centers (SERASI) for the elderly. This policy direction is in the form of strengthening an integrated social rehabilitation system.

He added that the Ministry of Social Affairs is present to expand the reach of family, community and residential-based elderly protection, to strengthen the capacity of the Social Rehabilitation Center and Social Welfare Institutions (LKS) for the Elderly. In addition, there is also an increase in the campaign for the elderly and an increase in the role of the community and the private sector in providing services for the elderly.

Improved services for the elderly will also be realized in the Social Service Center (SERASI) program which is expected to make it easier for the elderly to access various services in one door.

Meanwhile, the Director of Elderly Social Rehabilitation, Drs. Andi Hanindito, M.Si, who also gave material virtually emphasized that the HR Capacity Building activity was expected to be a momentum for all LRSLU Minaula Kendari employees to close ranks and increase team cohesiveness in working to provide services to the elderly.

In addition to the two resource persons, also provided material from academics, namely Dr. Mujidin, M.Si from Ahmad Dahlan University and Veny Hidayati, M.Psi from Gajah Mada University, both emphasize service by prioritizing sincerity in serving the elderly
