Maemunah, a Tumor Patient, Will Have an Examination at Dharmais Hospital, Jakarta
BANTEN (JUNE 20, 2022) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Mulya
Jaya Center in Jakarta carried out a pickup for Maemunah who was diagnosed with
a malignant tumor, as a follow-up effort to the results of the assessment
conducted by Galih Pakuan Center on June 15, 2022, following the
direction of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini for an immediate
response to Maemunah.
Maemunah is a 66-year-old elderly who is
married to a blind person who works as a massage therapist every day and was
diagnosed by a doctor with a malignant tumor. 20 years of this disease in his
body. All treatment efforts were made to be able to recover, but due to limited
funds, finally, I could only surrender. Mulya Jaya Center responded quickly, by
dispatching a Social Work Team to pick them up directly at home and would
immediately be referred to Dharmais Hospital Jakarta.
"During the treatment period, Maemunah was
facilitated with accommodation in a dormitory, meals, and accommodation for
delivery and pick-up during the treatment process at the hospital, as well as a
team of nurses at Mulya Jaya Center Jakarta," said Heru, a social worker
at Mulya Jaya Center Jakarta.
"Alhamdulillah I can get treatment,
I have always wanted to go to the hospital, but I don't have the money, thank
you to all those who have helped, hopefully after treatment I can
recover," said Maemunah.
While undergoing
treatment, Maemunah was accompanied by her child and companions from her
family. Maemunah's health development will be reported periodically to the
leadership at MoSA, it is hoped that this Quick Response can reduce the burden
on Maemunah, and ensure that MoSA is present in the community
