"Margo Laras" Center Successfully Vaccinates COVID-19 Vaccine to 107 PDM
PATI (May 24, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Pati "Margo Laras" Center in collaboration with the Margorejo Community Health Center carried out Covid-19 vaccinations for 107 People with Mental Disabilities (PDM) in the "Margo Laras" Center.
The Covid-19 vaccination activity given to 107 PDM Residential-based Beneficiaries at the "Margo Laras" Hall was directly monitored by the Pati District Health Office. This Covid-19 vaccination activity is an effort by the "Margo Laras" Center to make the national Covid-19 vaccination program launched by the government a success, explained the Head of the "Margo Laras" Center, Jiwaningsih.
"We are committed together to provide ATENSI with accessibility support in the form of Covid-19 vaccination to all residential-based people with disabilities who are a vulnerable group affected by the Covid-19 pandemic," said Jiwaningsih.
"The Covid-19 vaccination activity overall went smoothly, although there was one beneficiary who had to be observed for 15 minutes due to hypertension," he explained.
"In general, it was successful, all full beneficiaries received stage 1 of the Covid-19 vaccination," said Jiwaningsih.
"To the "Margo Laras" Center staff, you can coordinate further with Doctor Veny, the person in charge of the Vaccine. After administering the Vaccine to the beneficiary, if there are side effects or complaints you can consult directly with him, the second phase of the vaccine is planned for June 21, 2021," said Budo, Head of the Margorejo Community Health Center.
Beneficiaries, accompanied by the Center staff, go to the Center by complying with health protocols, wearing masks, washing their hands and checking their body temperature. Then they were directed by the nurse to register, then screened for disease history and general complaints followed by vaccination and observation for 15 minutes.
"I felt hungry, sleepy, and had a little pain at the injection site, but there were no complaints of dizziness or shortness of breath," said Atik, one of the beneficiaries with asthma and diabetes who passed the screening.
Vaccination activities are running smoothly, as an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 as a follow-up to the letter of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No B-44/MS/B/03/RH.01.02/3/2021 on March 31, 2021, regarding the Covid-19 Vaccine for people with disabilities.
