MEDAN (July 13, 2020) - “Bahagia” Social Rehabilitation for People with HIV Center (BRSODH) Medan. Organizes webinar with theme “ODHA Social Rehabilitation in Pandemic COVID-19 era”. The goal from the webinar to increase the capacity of Human Resources for playing an important role in social rehabilitation toward the people with HIV/AIDS (ODHA).

The webinar was attended by 250 people from Ministry of Social Affairs, Social Services, Hospital, National Anti-Narcotics Agency and Social Welfare Institution involved in supporting rehabilitation services toward ODHA and spread throughout Indonesia.

This event was opened by Head of Sub Division Administration, Robert Sitorus explained regarding the rules during this webinar. For the next Social Assistance and Social Rehabilitation displayed by Head of “Bahagia” Center, Sumarno Sri Wibowo.

“New work system related dealing with the pandemic, including HIV. “Bahagia” Center realize that this challenge in uncertain situation. Trying to prepare and equip Human Resources, by debriefing with the theme social rehabilitation in pandemic COVID era,” said Sri Wibowo

”We expect some positive recommendation from this webinar, especially in social rehabilitation ODHA. Finally there is rehabilitation model to access health, social or others aspects. The next expectation can make a positive contribution to the global target of 3 zero,” Sri Wibowo hopes.

The second presenter, Ayi Haryani as a lecturer at Politeknik Kesejahteraan Sosial Bandung convey things related to Social Rehabilitation for ODHA in pandemic era. “There are three approaches currently being developed by Ministry of Social Affairs in giving a social assistance to PPKS, there are family, community and residential based care,” said Ayi while explaining the material presented.

Enthusiastic participant’s webinar also shown by the number of questions inQnA session the webinar. Many participants came from outside Ministry of Social Affairs stated that social assistance is a completely new concept of service for them.

At the end of the webinar, the committee distributed evaluation from questionnaires about implementations from this webinar. The result is the participant’s hope the same event can be carried out again with a more interesting theme.
