BANDA ACEH (22 December 2021) – Social Minister Tri Rismaharini responded quickly to information related to Rizki Ardiansyah. The 14-year-old boy was diagnosed with malignant bone cancer.

After attending the Commemoration of the National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN), today the Minister immediately flew to Banda Aceh to meet Rizki. Rizki's condition had previously been assessed and followed up by the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Darussa'adah Aceh Center.

“I responded to Rizki's information from media. Because the treatment process is long-term. It cannot be completed immediately,” said Minister Tri Rismaharini when meeting Rizki in Banda Aceh, Tuesday (21/12).

Rizki has received treatment at the Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital (RSUDZA) Banda Aceh. To maintain the continuity of the long treatment process, the Ministry of Social Affairs cannot intervene alone.

The Minister asked sympathies of the community, benefactors and those who care about each other. Through the donation from a fundraising site Kitabisa.com, the Minister hopes that the community can help treat Rizki who resided in Amitedia Hamlet, Air Dingin Village, East Simeulue District, Simeulue Regency, Aceh.

"Given that Rizki's treatment took quite a long time, I invited Mas Timi from Kitabisa.com, because the treatment must continue after surgery. MOSA cannot handle it alone because of the limitations," said the Minister accompanied by the CEO of Kitabisa.com, Alfatih Timur (Timi).

Previously, Minister Risma and her entourage planned to meet Rizki at his residence in Simeulue. However, the Darussa'adah Center manager informed that Rizki had been brought to Banda Aceh for further handling.

Therefore, the Minister went straight to Banda Aceh. "After knowing that Rizki had been taken to Banda Aceh, we came here. We offered his parents to stay at the location while waiting for the operation," she said.

On that occasion, the Minister emphasized that we could not select which cases to respond as we pleased. The Minister ensured that she responded to cases like this based on information from public and media.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has also done the same treatment in handling previous cases such as Agil in Bogor and Raisa in Depok.

"We do not choose the case as we please. We handle everything and respond well to similar problems and cases," said the Minister.

On that occasion, the Minister also handed over assistance to Rizki. The Ministry of Social Affairs handed over financial assistance, children's needs, and also laptop. With a laptop, the Minister hoped to support Rizki's online school activities.

"With a laptop, hopefully it can support Rizki's school activities. Keep spirit. Study hard so you can achieve your goals," she said.

Rizki Ardiansyah, born in Sinabang, 23 April 2007, is the son of Yudison and Rini Supratiwi. He is currently an eight grader at MTsN 2 Simeulue Timur. His address is at Amitedia  Hamlet, Air Dingin Village. East Simeulue District. His parents worked as laborers for cutting oil palm fruits at PT PAL Meulaboh.

Rizki requires assistance in basic needs, clothing needs, post-treatment wheelchairs, blankets, pampers, and additional multivitamins.

Rizki's family also needs help to meet their food needs, hospital care, medicines, toiletries, and transportation costs for Meulaboh - Banda Aceh.

The Ministry of Social Affairs handed over ATENSI Support for social care worth IDR 10,000,000, a laptop worth IDR 5,600,000, printer worth IDR 1,100,000, clothes worth IDR 964,340, children's nutrition (milk, honey, biscuits) worth IDR 250,000.
