Meeting of the Progress Report of the Rice Social Assistance (BSB)

Social Minister Juliari P. Batubara chaired the BSB progress report meeting through Zoom Meeting Video Conference on Tuesday (15/9). The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Inspector General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Director General of Social Protection and Security, Expert Staff of the Minister of Social Affairs for Social Welfare Technology, Expert Staff of the Minister of Social Affairs for Accessibility, Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment, and Director of Social and Family Security.

The meeting discussed the progress of the ongoing BSB. Beginning with the issuance of DIPA, completion of administration, launching of BSB, coordination, socialization, publication, distribution of Phase I, and distribution of Phase II.

Social Minister Juliari P. Batubara said that we must ensure that BSB runs smoothly in the field.

"The most important thing is about dropping points to KPM PKH. Then we have to ensure uniform delivery and packaging of rice to BULOG," said Juliari.

On this occasion, Director General of Social Empowerment Edi Suharto delivered a report related to the development of the BSB program which was launched on September 2, 2020.

"KPM PKH is very enthusiastic because it receives basic needs assistance in the form of rice. There are some progress that we have carried out in the field related to BSB. Starting from the launching of BSB, coordination and socialization between parties including BULOG and Transporter, as well as in the field the distribution of phase I and preparation of phase II distribution, "explained Edi Suharto.

Edi Suharto also explained that the BSB distributing transporters coordinated with the local Social Service and PKH Facilitators in determining the BSB delivery point with a more flexible definition, which could be done door to door or a place such as RT / RW / meeting place for activities that had been agreed.

Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment Bambang Sugeng added that overall and nationally meetings have been held to coordinate regarding the distribution of BSB.

"Today we have started distributing in Purwakarta area of ​​West Java. In other areas there have also been distributing them, such as in Riau Province, Riau Islands, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, North Sulawesi and Maluku. We have also conveyed it to all Social Services to publish this BSB, "said Bambang Sugeng.
