Melvia, a PKH Companion, Whose House was Affected by the Disaster, Still Serves the Community

The story of Melvia Viawitri, a PKH Companion who was also a victim of the disaster in Pesisir Selatan. The water reached the height of the adults' waists forcing them to flee to higher ground for one night. Undisturbed by the disaster that struck her family, Melvia, who is also a social pillar, continues to remember the condition of the people living around her and carries out her role as a social pillar by helping out in the public kitchen in Batang Kapas District since Wednesday (13/3).

Even amid a disaster, Melvia can still be grateful that the damage she suffered was not as severe as many other residents, especially as her family was still intact. She also never stopped injecting enthusiasm into the affected residents not to complain and to continue to get up and improve.
