Millennial Generation Enlivens Heroic Cruising in Riau Islands
PANGKAL PINANG (October 23, 2019) - The Social Minister represented by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment Arif Nahari, opened the activities of exploration of the Heroic (JKK) year 2019 at the jetty of the war vessel maintenance and repair (Fasharkan) Mentigi Tanjung Uban, Riau Islands. This activity is a series of commemorative Heroes' Day held by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Carrying the theme "I am a hero of the present", Arif Nahari as the inspector of ceremonies conveyed in his speech that the activity of exploration of the heroic ship is a lobby activity in the planting and inheritance of the heroic values between generations to keep the nation's existence in the increasingly stringent global competition amid the intense science and technology in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0.
"Explore the heroic year 2019 we perform in the Riau Islands because the Riau Islands is a reflection as an island country that owns 2000 Islands, where 95% of the territory consists of oceans and 5% land, and is the leading gate of Indonesia which borders a neighboring countries, which has three national heroes," said Arif.
JKK 2019 held on 23-25 October 2019 is using KRI Banda ACEH 593, involving 500 participants consisting of students, students, scouts, student representatives, orphanages, youth organizations and social pillars (Karang Taruna, Tagana, TKSK, PSM) originating from Tanjung Pinang, Batam and Bintan.
