SUKABUMI (9 July 2020) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P. Batubara together with the Director General of Social Empowerment Edi Suharto and the Director General of Proverty Handling Asep Sasa Purnama reviewed the services of the Social Welfare Center (Puskesos) Benda Village, Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency.
The Puskesos in Benda Village, Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency was established in 2016. It is operated by 5 human resources, namely 1 Coordinator, 2 Front Office people, 2 Back Office people, and 1 Facilitator.
The Minister of Social Affairs took the time to interact directly with residents who were using Puskesos services. He saw the flow of the Puskesos service in Benda Village. See firsthand how the social welfare center officers work quickly and respond to residents' complaints.
"How many DTKS data are there?" asked the Social Minister to the Puskesos officer.
"There are 7,612 Sir, who have received the BPNT program as many as 328," answered the Puskesos officer,
"How long do you think the process will take?" continued the Minister of Social Affairs,
"A week for the process, sir," answered the Puskesos officer.
In addition, the Minister of Social Affairs also saw the process of collecting data on the underprivilege. One of the residents who met at that time expressed his complaint regarding PKH. The Minister of Social Affairs also asked about the nomination and handling process carried out by the Front Office and Back Office at the Social Welfare Center.
The existence of Puskesos is very important for the poor and vulnerable. Services related to social protection and social welfare programs can be quickly responded at the Puskesos. Other social services are also facilitated by the existence of the Puskesos, such as data collection, complaints and referrals related to PKH, BST, BPNT, KIP, KIS, KK, etc. Currently, Puskesos is also receiving complaints from the public regarding social assistance in handling COVID-19.
On average, the Puskesmas officers in Benda Village receive 5 - 10 complaints from residents every day. Equipped with computer facilities, servers, information service boards, the Desa Benda Social Welfare Center is ready to provide services to the community. There are various complaints received during the COVID-19 pandemic. Among others, the occurrence of double data, BPNT card / basic necessities, and complaints about the quality of social assistance.
"Here, officers provide information and register complaints from residents who come. Community residents who make complaints come to the Social Walfare Center with supporting documents such as ID cards and family cards. For example, data collection for poor people, we first check whether the residents are registered with DTKS. We will record the data for us to submit it to the DTKS," said Rustinah, Puskesos Officer
Currently, there are 6,696 Puskesos-SLRT scattered in villages or sub-districts throughout Indonesia. Puskesos are able to touch the community at the lowest level, namely at the village/ward level. In addition, Puskesos also cooperates with social pillars, local village officials and local governments to respond to community complaints.
