JAKARTA (January 7, 2021) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, accompanied by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation Harry Hikmat, made a working visit at the "Mulya Jaya" Training Center, Jakarta. Social Minister Risma reviewed the facilities and infrastructure available at the Center.
The Minister of Social Affairs wishes that the Center not only provide social rehabilitation services, but also social empowerment and ensure that the served Beneficiaries (PM) can be truly independent. The skills training provided to PM is expected to be a provision for them to work or become entrepreneurs.
Risma emphasized that PM who has finished participating in social rehabilitation activities at the Center, can immediately carry out more productive activities. The Minister of Social Affairs urged that the maintainance is not only for the target number of people served by the Center, but also the quality of service by the Center.
Therefore, the development of PM must be monitored and there is a roadmap to monitor the development of PM. “We have to know the progress, until we have to know how much their income from the survey results is mapping. We have to monitor that so that the output is clear. So if we want to help people to deliver that person, we are really successful," said Risma.
The former mayor of Surabaya wants PM to be successful and successful in his life, so it is necessary to provide additional advanced/professional training, such as how to plan a business, manage a business, and even manage finances.
"So it's not just training PM to make products, but also how to market products, the packaging must be good, so people are interested in buying. And from the beginning, the PM have been taught about online product marketing,” said Risma.
The Minister of Social Affairs wants PM products to be marketed not only for the lower middle class, but also for the upper middle class, so that they have added value or a bigger profit margin. For this reason, product quality standards must be improved and have a brand.
"We have to encourage if there is a PM who has potential, it's okay to develop his potential, be sent to school or be trained again. So, we make sure they have to perform," concluded the Minister of Social Affairs.
