Minister of Social Affairs Risma Comes Directly to Ensure Free Cataract Surgery in Kediri Runs Smoothly
The Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini visited the Simpang Lima Gumul Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Kediri. The Minister of Social Affairs was here to take a close look at the cataract surgery and greet the patients directly, Friday (17/03).
The Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia together with the Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV helped with collaborative operating costs of IDR423,775,000 for 253 people in Kediri. The Ministry of Social Affairs also handed over Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) assistance from the Prof. Dr. Soeharso Integrated Center worth a total of IDR120,554,500.
Cataract surgery is one of the efforts of the Ministry of Social Affairs to help poor people from the threat of blindness. Cataract sufferers in Indonesia are quite high. Therefore, the Minister of Social Affairs expressed his appreciation to all parties who have helped people unable to undergo cataract surgery.
