Minister of Social Affairs Risma Provides Instilling Heroic Values to Student Representatives throughout Indonesia
Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini invited students to be able to sow flowers at the graves of revolutionary heroes, which was followed by a tour at Kalibata Main National Heroes Cemetery (TMPNU). Social Affairs Minister Risma hopes that students can emulate heroic values, especially courage.
She conveyed this during a dialogue with hundreds of students and teachers from various regions in Indonesia who were present at the Convention Building of the Kalibata TMPNU, South Jakarta. Carrying the theme "My Hero is My Nonsuch", the Minister of Social Affairs aroused the students' sense of nationalism to apply the values of heroism in life. Enthusiastically, the former Mayor of Surabaya stood for about an hour to ignite the enthusiasm of the students who were present.
In the dialogue, Risma said that students as young people are the grandchildren of heroes who will continue the nation's struggle to advance social welfare. For this reason, Risma encourages students to have the courage to face problems and difficulties, especially against increasingly challenging global competition.
"This nation and country needs you to be able to bring (us) in line with other nations in the world," she said, which was greeted with applause from the participants present.
The activities for inculcating the value of heroism through students are held for one day with various interesting activities, such as hero fairy tales, pilgrimages with the Minister of Social Affairs, and watching films with the theme of heroism.
