Ministry of Social Affairs and KP2MI Establish Synergy to Handle PMIB
JAKARTA (November 1, 2024) – Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf and Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding discussed the synergy between the Ministry of Social Affairs and KP2MI in handling Indonesian migrant workers in trouble (PMIB) at the Ministry of Social Affairs Office, Friday afternoon (4/11/2024). Collaboration and synergy between the Ministry of Social Affairs and KP2MI will be realized in a concrete cooperation model in the field. Efforts that will be taken include selecting intersections where the two Ministries can work together in the form of empowerment, assistance or other programs.
In carrying out these efforts, both the Ministry of Social Affairs and KP2MI will work in a measured manner according to the direction given by President Prabowo Subianto.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Social Affairs and KP2MI is a step taken to provide protection to migrant workers so that exploitation does not occur again and to provide intervention for migrant workers who face problems after returning from abroad.
