As an oil refinery spread throughout Southeast Asia, the task of the RU-IV Oil Refinery is to process raw materials for the manufacture of fuel such as Pertamax, Pertalite, Premium, and Solar.
After the handover of social assistance with the Balongan Village, the "Ciungwanara" Disability Center Group led by the Head of the "Ciungwanara" Disability Center, Siti Sari Rumayanti, carried out Psychosocial Support Services (LDP) for victims of the refinery explosion at the evacuee camp located at Bumi Patra Housing Pertamina.
The LDP given by the social worker includes trauma healing through inculcating positive values in oneself so that fear and anxiety is reduced to welcome a better next day.
One of the evacuees with the initials M recounted the moment when the explosion occurred. "I was sleeping, suddenly there was a very loud sound, until the glass broke in the house, so since then I became afraid and easily startled when there was a loud sound," said M.
Meanwhile, Occupational Therapy provides therapeutic service management for stroke sufferers who are victims of factory explosions by providing education to families to practice sitting in a wheelchair, doing stretching for limbs that have decreased muscle strength and providing moral support for stroke sufferers to improve their performance and make them always eager to practice.
