PRABUMULIH (October 5, 2020) - This time the Ministry of Social Affairs through “Budi Perkasa” Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Physical Disabilities (BRSPDF) in Palembang held Community-Based ATENSI for Persons with Physical Disabilities in Prabumulih City, South Sumatra Province. This activity is held for the 4th time, after Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Province, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province, and Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province, was carried out for 5 (five) days to provide skills and reinforcement to Persons with Physical Disabilities and their families as well as resource systems and stakeholders. in the area.

The Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) is here to provide social rehabilitation services for people with disabilities. The ATENSI program is implemented on a Family, Community, and Residential basis. The ATENSI program for persons with disabilities is implemented through implementation by providing basic needs fulfillment, therapies in the form of physical therapy, mental spiritual, psychosocial, skills/entrepreneurship, providing social care/care, and family support as well as peer groups and stakeholders.

The activity, which was attended by 30 persons with disabilities and 30 social cadres/parents/social organizations, will be given Independence Assistance for business capital or business development worth Rp1.500.000 per person for a total of Rp45.000.000. It is hoped that after the activity takes place, people with disabilities can make the best use of the Independence Assistance so that they can live independently and foster an entrepreneurial spirit.

Before starting activities in the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, officers continue to carry out health protocols in the form of measuring body temperature for participants and all invited guests are directed to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer. Participants are also required to wear masks during the activity, officers set a safe distance at the participants' seats to avoid crowds.

In the opening of ATENSI which was attended by the Head of the Palembang "Budi Perkasa" Center, Mrs. Siti Sari Rumayanti, A.KS, M.Si and the Mayor of Prabumulih, Mr. Ir. H. Ridho Yahya, M.M. together with the Chairperson of the PKK Prabumulih City and the Head of the Prabumulih City Social Service Mr. Drs. A. Heryanto, MM along with the Head of Prabumulih City Service/Agency, Prabumulih City Bazda Head, BRI Branch Manager Prabumulih City appreciated the activities held by the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Palembang "Budi Perkasa" Social Rehabilitation Center for Physical Disabilities.

The Head of "Budi Perkasa" Center Palembang in his speech explained, "This activity is a series of activities that have been carried out at 4 locations in the Province and Regency / City, Prabumulih City is the last Community-Based ATENSI implementation for 2020 after the previous 3 locations, this activity is a form of government responsibility through the Ministry of Social Affairs which is always present in fulfilling the rights of people with disabilities in the region, we really support Prabumulih City to become an inclusive and friendly city for people with disabilities," said Sari.

The Mayor of Prabumulih welcomed the program provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Budi Perkasa" Center Palembang for people with physical disabilities in Prabumulih City, he explained in his speech, “I invite all of us to care about people with disabilities, Prabumulih City is committed to not discriminating in treatment and opportunities for with others and I have invited all employees to donate to friends with disabilities as a form of our concern for others”.

He also added, “I hope that as long as I become Mayor, my usefulness can be felt by all lines of society such as people with disabilities, homeless, scavengers, and others. I hope that the program provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs by "Budi Perkasa" Center Palembang by providing this training can be followed as well as possible, respect the program from the government, so that it can be really useful,” explained Ridho.
