Ministry of Social Affairs Distributes Basic Needs for Child Victims of Bima Flash Flood
BIMA (April 10, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Paramita" Children's Center in Mataram distributed basic needs to 100 child survivors of flash flood victims at the Child Social Service Agency (LKSA) affected by flash floods in Bima Regency.
In accordance with the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini that the Centers must respond quickly to social problems found in the community, therefore the "Paramita" Children's Center assigned a team to distribute child relief goods. Distribution of basic needs for children is distributed in 4 LKSAs including LKSA An-Nur Al Hidayah, LKSA Al Madinah Putra, LKSA Al Madinah Putri, and LKSA Nurul Mukhtar.
I Ketut Supena, Head of the "Paramita" Children's Center said, "We provide support for fulfilling basic needs so that the food needs of children affected by flash floods are met. This is also an implementation of the Social Rehabilitation Assistance Program or ATENSI which we carry out, one of which is with the support meeting the needs of a decent life."
Samsul Hadi, Head of the Social Rehabilitation Service Section for the "Paramita" Children's Center in Mataram said "the goods distributed in the 4 LKSAs are basic needs for children based on assessments that have been carried out by social workers. We hope this can help children in LKSAs after the disaster and the flash flood they experienced some time ago."
Suharjon, Chair of LKSA Nurul Mukhtar said, "The assistance that was handed over was very useful for our children who were also victims of the flood disaster. Thank you to the Ministry of Social Affairs and the "Paramita" Children's Center who cared for our children."
Items of basic necessities handed over from the "Paramita" Children's Center included rice, eggs, instant noodles, milk, and masks. Masks, during this pandemic, are very important in an effort to prevent and spread COVID-19 to children in LKSA.
