Ministry of Social Affairs Distributes Social Assistance to IMI
DENPASAR (October 2020) - Located at the Puri Santrian Hotel Denpasar, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs represented by the Head of the Bali Disability Center "Mahatmiya" Sutiono handed over social assistance for basic necessities to the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) affected by COVID-19.
General Chairperson Sadikin Aksa, Secretary General Jeffrey J.P, Deputy General Chairperson of the Organization M. Riyanto, and Deputy General Chairperson of Motorcycle Sports, Medya Saputra directly received social assistance. In addition to attending directly to the activity, 23 Provincial IMIs, and 5 Provincial IMIs attended through online platform.
In addition to the representatives who were present, this activity also involved IMI members with the aim of internal consolidation of the IMI organization so that it would be more advanced and beneficial for the Indonesian people as well as a forum for gathering and discussing for the betterment of the IMI organization in the future.
The General Chairperson of IMI, Sadikin Aksa said that the coordination of Indonesian automotive personnel was not optimal. "So far, Indonesian automotive personnel have worked individually in helping people affected by disasters, or those who need social assistance. Therefore, on this occasion, let's work together with the Ministry of Social Affairs, which is part of the Ministry of Social Affairs," he said.
Food packages for IMI Members affected by COVID-19: IMI DIY 250 personnel, IMI South Sumatra 60 personnel, IMI Jambi 107 personnel, IMI Bali 408 personnel, IMI South Sulawesi 570 personnel and the Central IMI Secretariat 23 personnel.
