Ministry of Social Affairs Empowers Bedeng Villages through the Production of Hotel Sandals Made by Residents
JAKARTA (April 12, 2023) - The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini visited the location of the empowerment program in Kampung Bedeng, Central Jakarta. In his review today, the Minister of Social Affairs handed over assistance worth IDR128,144,800 in the form of business capital assistance and 3 units of 3-wheeled vehicles.
In addition, the Minister of Social Affairs also reviewed the results of the vocational training process in the form of producing hotel sandals (slippers) and provided assistance worth IDR 45,500,000 in the form of 4 sewing machines and materials to make hotel sandals.
On the same occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Cempaka Sejahtera Bermajuan Cooperative and PT Prima Hotel Indonesia in terms of meeting the needs of hotel sandals.
The event was also attended by the Operational Director of PT Prima Hotel Indonesia, Ade Noerwenda, Secretary to the Directorate General of Social Resources, Beni Sujanto, Director of PSKBSNA, Mira Riyati, and Ministry of Social Affairs staff.
