INDRAMAYU (12th June 2020) - Head of Sub-directorate for Social Rehabilitation of Children Needing Special Protection (AMPK), Cup Santo and the Child Social Rehabilitation Directorate Team distributed assistance for handling the COVID-19 pandemic for 730 neglected children, 61 assisted children of the Children Social Welfare Institution (LKSA) in the Majalengka, Cirebon, Kuningan and Indramayu areas.

The assistance distribution activities in Majalengka Regency were 139 children assisted by 13 LKSAs attended by the Secretary of the Social Service, the Head of Social Rehabilitation and the staff and the Social Worker Service Unit (Sakti Peksos) and District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK).

Cup Santo in his directions explained the details of the contents of the assistance for handling the COVID-19 pandemic in all regions, the same amounting to RP 300.000 per child. The assistance consists of 5 kg of rice, 800 grams of milk, 1 jar of sausage, 330 grams of cereal, 1 packet of biscuits and 1 kg of eggs and 2 boxes of soap per LKSA. The soap is a donation from Unilever through Unicef Indonesia.

Furthermore, the Directorate of Children's Social Rehabilitation Team moved towards Cirebon Regency to distribute assistance to 93 children assisted by 9 LKSAs at the Cirebon Regency Social Service Office. The assistance was handed over to the Head of the Handling of the Poor which then received by LKSA Darul Ulum representing 9 LKSAs in the Cirebon Regency area.

The Cirebon City Social Service as the location for continuing the distribution of assistance was attended by the Head of the PPPA Social Service, the Head of Social Division and the staff.

"We thank to the Directorate of Children Social Rehabilitation for providing assistance packages for 278 children assisted by 21 LKSAs," said the Head of the Cirebon City PSAA / LKSA Forum, Iwan.

Kuningan Regency is the next location to distribute assistance for 188 children assisted by 15 LKSAs. Head of the Kuningan Regency Social Service, Dudy Budiana and the staff attended the event.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has a very big impact on children in LKSA, so we all have to remain disciplined in following health protocols," said Dudy. Furthermore, LKSA Salafiyatul Huda expressed the gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs for providing assistance to children in LKSA in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last route in the team's series of social assistance distribution is in Indramayu Regency. The distribution of assistance to 32 children assisted by 3 LKSAs was carried out at the Indramayu Regency Social Service Office who was accompanied by the Head of Social Rehabilitation and the staff. The determination of beneficiaries in all areas is based on Children’s Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).
