BANDUNG (November 21, 2020) - The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs continues to expand its network of collaboration with various parties who have taken real social actions. This is in accordance with the mandate of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Juliari P. Batubara.

Following up on the mandate, the Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Harry Hikmat, visited the Priangan Social Fund Foundation (YDSP), which includes the Caring Chinese Community. "We are happy to have the opportunity to attend the Chinese Culture Museum which is managed by the Priangan Social Fund Foundation," said Harry during a dialogue with the Foundation.

YDSP carried out real social actions, one of which was during the COVID-19 Pandemic such as providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), basic necessities to vitamins for residents and being at the forefront of handling COVID-19, including The Indonesian National Armed Forces, The Indonesian National Police, Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) and The Mobile Brigade Corps in the Bandung area.

Harry appreciated the various social actions carried out by the Foundation, which has been established since 1976. "YDSP has succeeded in consolidating the majority of the Chinese community to care for each other. This inspires them to mobilize all existing potentials to face common problems, one of which is the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.

In the context of social awareness, this is in line with the vision and mission of the Ministry of Social Affairs. The Ministry of Social Affairs and YDSP are able to work together in several activities in providing services to children, persons with disabilities, the elderly, victims of drug abuse as well as socially impaired and trafficking victims.

Harry also hopes that the 41 Social Rehabilitation Centers belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs will be able to cooperate concretely with YDSP, providing services to beneficiaries both in the center, families and communities.

This cooperation agreement is in terms of using the work of persons with disabilities at CIDCO as the design of the raincoat|raincoat brand from rainsoul. This agreement is also inseparable from the idea of Artherapy Center Advisor Widyatama and Chair of the CIDCO Advisory Board, Anne Nurfarina.

The chairman of YDSP, Herman Wijaya, welcomed the visit of the Director General of Social Affairs, Ministry of Social Affairs. "The arrival of the Director General of Social Affairs, Mr. Harry Hikmat really helped us in providing instructions on what we can do in terms of service to the community. We hope that the government facilitates and supports our social actions, can also collaborate in various social activities, one of which is helping friends disabilities to work in the future," he said.

On that occasion, Harry and his entourage were invited to tour the museum to see Chinese culture. This museum tells the story of the journey of the Chinese Ethnic to enter Indonesia, is close to the natives and has been part of the development of Indonesia since BC.
