Ministry of Social Affairs Held a Blood Donor Month

BEKASI (7 December 2019) - In commemoration of the National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) 2019, the Ministry of Social Affairs held a Blood Donor Month at the Grand Metropolitan Mall Bekasi, targeting 8000 blood bags. This activity is not merely aimed at fulfilling the availability of blood stocks, but also part of preserving the values of social solidarity in real actions.

Those who have voluntarily donated their blood will be given the award of Satya Lencana Kebaktian Sosial (Social Service Award), the highest award from the government in the field of humanity. It will be given directly by the President of Indonesia to those who have donated their blood as many as 15, 30, 50, 75, and 100 times.

The Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P Batubara, who took part in donating blood said that this activity is very important since it reflects the value of solidarity in helping others and kicking off a series of HKSN activities under the theme of HKSN 2019 namely Social Solidarity Through the Boundary so that it can break through barriers of difference and unite us.

"Hopefully the series of HKSN activities starting today with the Blood Donor Month can run smoothly until the peak of the activity on December 20. The most important is these activities can be remembered and provide benefits to our nation," said the Minister.
