Ministry of Social Affairs is Here to Assist the Sgt Eko Prasetyo Family in Bangkalan
BANGKALAN (April 26, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Satria" Baturraden Resident Center provided assistance to the family of one of the NKRI Nanggala 402 crew members who were in Bangkalan, East Java.
They are the family of Sgt Eko Prasetyo (35), an Indonesian national armed forces soldier who started joining the KRI Nanggala 402 team in 2019 and previously joined KRI Cakra-401.
Serda Eko Prasetyo's wife, Dewi Nurista Priswantini is a teacher at a private vocational school in Bangkalan. They married in 2013. Dewi is a native of Bangkalan while Sgt Eko Prasetyo comes from Kebumen, Central Java.
Even though grief was evident on Dewi's face, she was strong enough to accept reality. "I have to be strong Mba, I'm sincere," said Dewi to the "Satria" Baturraden Center Team.
Apart from his wife, this TNI AL soldier who once served in NTT also left behind his two children. His first child, Rakahfi Latif Wiratama (6), will enter elementary school this year, and his second child, Lanisa Nurul Rizqita (3). When asked where her son would enroll in school, Dewi admitted that she had not decided yet, considering that the school was far away and no one would accompany her son to school. Dewi also said that usually, Sg Eko Prasetyo was only on duty for three weeks.
When KRI Nanggala 402 was declared to have lost contact, the family held a joint prayer for Sgt Eko Prasetyo's safety. And starting yesterday, when he was found drowned and when the entire crew was declared dead, the family began to hold prayers together for the deceased. On this occasion, the "Satria" Baturraden Residential Center Team also participated in the joint prayer and brought food and cakes for the sons and daughters of the deceased.
On this occasion, Latif remembered the figure of his late father. He is closer to his father. He also remembered that his father ordered him to hasten the prayers. So when the Asr call to prayer resounded, he rushed to the mosque. Meanwhile, Lani doesn't seem to know what happened to her father.
The "Satria" Baturraden Residential Center team provided emotional support to Dewi and her family and conveyed their deep sorrow for the death of one of the nation's best sons. The Ministry of Social Affairs is also trying to attend and provide support to the families of the victims of the sinking of the KRI Nanggala 402.
