Ministry of Social Affairs Launches KSB in Southern Coast of Malang

Of the 763 KSBs that have been formed in Indonesia, four of them are located in the southern coastal area of ​​Malang Regency. The formation and handling of KSB which is intensively carried out by the government through the Ministry of Social Affairs is intended to empower and increase community preparedness in the context of community-based disaster management.

"The community is the first to respond when a disaster occurs. For that, we must empower the community. Now, the community is no longer seen as an object, but must become a subject or actor," said Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims (PSKBA), M. Safii. Nasution, when giving directions on a series of activities to proclaim the KSB in Srigonco Village, Bantur District, South Malang Regency, Friday (19/9).
 
On that occasion, the Director of PSKBA, M. Safii Nasution, was also accompanied by the Deputy for Emergency and Disaster Management from the Coordinating Ministry for Disaster Management, Newlan Harahap, and the Regional Secretary of Malang Regency, Wahyu Hidayat, who were present and gave virtual directions in the activity of the declaration of the four KSB locations. in the southern coastal area of ​​Malang Regency.
