Ministry of Social Affairs National Expedition on Mapia Island, Papua

Visiting the Outermost Regions at the eastern tip of Indonesia, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini provided assistance in the Mapia Islands, West Supiori District, Supiori Regency, Papua.

Traveled by sea for 20 hours aboard the KRI dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo (WSH) 991 belonging to the Indonesian Navy, Minister of Social Affairs Risma brought assistance covering the basic needs of the community, namely agricultural empowerment equipment, sports infrastructure, support for health and education equipment, basic necessities, children's food, personal hygiene equipment and biomass stoves.

The arrival of Minister of Social Affairs Risma to the Mapia Islands also brought tools to convert coconut into cooking oil with the total aid distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs worth IDR1.76 billion.
